Pregnancy is the best time in every women’ life, but some are suffering from a continuous miscarriage, this condition is known as recurrent pregnancy loss. If you are suffering from this, then you must read this guide properly, because we are going to give you reasons and treatment options for this condition.

These days almost 20% of pregnant women experience a miscarriage. This miscarriage is such a great loss for those parents who are struggling to have a baby for a long time. However, still, they are unable to enjoy parenthood. They also stressed about why this happens again and again. In this condition, you need to visit our IVF centre so that we can examine you and your condition as well. Well, this condition is known as recurrent pregnancy loss.

What is Recurrent pregnancy loss?

Not every miscarriage is explained as Recurrent pregnancy loss, this is only explained as when a lady experience multiple miscarriages before the 20 weeks of pregnancy in the gestational age. You can only undergo IVF treatment after proper examination and ultrasound as well. In addition to this, only 5% of women experience one or two miscarriage and almost 20% of ladies experience three or more miscarriages that lead to recurrent pregnancy loss.

In order to get the treatment, you need to understand the reasons behind this condition.

Reasons for Recurrent Pregnancy loss

There are many reasons behind this condition such as genetic factors, infection, sperm quality, and so on. Due to these factors, you need to go through infertility treatment, so that you can get rid of this condition. These reasons are explained below-:

Genetic

This means you experience recurrent pregnancy loss because you are unable to produce healthy eggs that are useful for fertilization. After fertilization, if embryos do not develop normally, then you will surely experience a miscarriage. In addition to this, down syndrome is the most common genetic condition that is caused due to extra chromosomes.

Untreated medical conditions

You may not know untreated health conditions such as thyroid problems and diabetes also increase the risk of miscarriage. Additionally, this loss also happens due to blood clotting conditions like thrombophilia.

Lifestyle habits

Well, ladies who are regular smokers and alcoholics are at greater risk of recurrent pregnancy loss. You can also experience RPL due to poor nutrition as well, if you love to eat spicy and oily food, you will surely experience a miscarriage.

Treatment for recurrent pregnancy loss

  • First of all, you must take treatments for your untreated medical conditions.
  • And then you must go with genetic screening that is the part of the IVF procedure. It means the surgeon examines the condition of the embryo during the development phase.
  • You can also go with the surgical procedure if you are unable to treat your condition with the help of medications.
