What is Cervical Mucus?

by adminon 14 September 2016in female infertility

Quick Enquiry

Cervical mucus has a significant role in conceiving process by nurturing and securing sperm as it makes the long, arduous journey by female reproductive tract to find the egg. Once you get to know about your cervical mucus, you become able to know about to conceive during sexual activity.
The best way to find changes in your cervical mucus is to gather and assess a mucus sample on a regular basis. The following factors describe the typical progression of the cervical mucus quantity and quality to observe your menstrual cycle:
When Menstrual Period is Over– The cervical mucus is minimally produced right after your period. However it is released after some days and has a sticky touch.

When Ovulation date is near– When you approach your day of fertile window, cervical mucus’s quantity increases as well as moistness.

During Ovulation– At the times before ovulation, the development of cervical mucus is at the maximum level that its color is whites like an egg. After finding the presence of this color mucus, you will be familiar about your highly fertile days.

Subsequent Ovulation- The magnitude of released cervical mucus reduces significantly subsequent to ovulation and becomes thicker than during ovulation.

But after assessing variations in cervical mucus, you realize that you eventually do not develop cervical mucus of fertile level during ovulation. It is in fact thick and sticky rather being thin and extensible at the time of ovulation. In this case, your efforts to get pregnant may not work because it makes it tough for sperms to move properly to reach fallopian tube to interact with egg in order to result into fertilization that is essential for conceiving.
