      Tips to Deal with stress due to infertility

        Infertility is experienced by many couples. It has not only physical implications but mental and emotional effects as well. An infertile couple, biologically speaking, is unable to produce children without medical help. But the condition exerts a lot of mental and psychological problems for the couple. If not handled properly, the whole string of events might backfire and the couple may fail to conceive further due to stress factors. The cycle may never end. So it is significant that the emotional aspect of infertility is handled with care. According to IVF center, friends and family should support the couple throughout the treatment process. Infertility treatment will be successful only when the couple feels relaxed and positive about it.

        How to Cope with Infertility Problems

        It pays to overcome your frustration and anger and adopt a calm demeanor towards the whole issue.

        1. Identify Your Emotions

        Most of our problems are created when we refuse to identify our feelings. Yet, this is the first step towards problem-solving.

        After facing negative results after the fertility test, understand your feelings and find out how you can control them.

        2. Confide and get consoled

        It is best to confide in people who you trust. The ones who will stand by you in any situation are the right ones. You can even approach infertility support groups or other infertile couples. They will offer great emotional support.

        3. Vent it Out

        If emotions are bursting within you, it is OK to let them out. Express whatever you feel anger, frustration or grief. It is necessary for your wellbeing that such a riot of emotions comes out . Stress-busting will help you cope up with the problem in a better way.

        4. Take it easy

        It’s OK to be infertile , many other couples are dealing with it. You are not the only one. Instead of blaming yourself or your partner for it, look up the options you have at hand. There is no point crying over it.

        5. Make notes

        Vent out your frustration by writing about your feelings in a diary. You could also convey the same to your friend. Once you have let out your thoughts in some way, you will feel stress-free.

        6. Surround yourself with friends and  family

        Let your family join you on your journey. Keep them around so that there is never a dull moment or unacknowledged feelings. A few comforting words and a few hugs will put you back on the path to emotional stability.

        7. Counseling with Your Partner

        Connect with your partner and convey your dilemma. You could also get help in the form of counseling. It will help you in coping with the emotional trauma of infertility.
