      How much time gap is ideal between In vitro fertilization cycles?

        What is IVF?

        In-vitro-fertilization is a treatment which is a blessing for the couple suffering from fertility issues. The doctor will collect the eggs and sperm from the couple and fertilize them in the lab. The doctor will wait for some days for embryo formation. After that, he will transfer to the uterus of the woman. But to get good news there are some steps which couple have to go through are mentioned below:

        • Stimulation of Eggs

        • Egg Retrieval

        • Semen Analysis

        In this, the male partner will give sperms and the doctor will check the quality of the sperm.

        • Fertilization

        • Formation of embryo

        After fertilization, the doctor will wait for the formation of embryos for three to four days.

        • Transfer of embryo

        After the formation of embryos, the doctor will transfer the embryo to the uterus of the woman.

        • Pregnancy test

        After a week of IVF treatment, the women will do a pregnancy test.

        These are the steps that will help couples in receiving good news. And the following steps will tell the root of the problem that why couples are unable to conceive naturally. In fact, there are some reasons why couples are unable to conceive that are mentioned below:

         

        • Blocked fallopian tubes
        • Poor quality of eggs or sperms
        • Unexplained infertility and so on.

         

        For how long a couple should wait?

        The women who ovulate daily and having unexplained fertility issues. The woman should wait for three months for intrauterine insemination with Clomid in conjunction. Clomid is a type of oral medicine prescribed by the fertility expert for ovulation or for patients who are suffering from unexplained infertility.

        The woman suffering from PCOS i.e polycystic ovarian disease should wait for 3 to 4 cycles of intrauterine insemination with Femara. Femara is also a type of oral medicine approved by the FDA. It is beneficial for a woman suffering from breast cancer. In fact, letrozole is more effective for patients suffering from PCOS as compared to Clomid.

         

        For how long a patient should wait between IVF cycles?

        Always remember fresh IVF cycles should not take place every month. The couple should wait for a month before starting with another IVF cycle.
