5 Ways To Fight Male Infertility

by adminon 6 November 2018in infertility

        Quick Enquiry

While infertility is majorly attributed to females, the male could often be the cause of the problem. Male Infertility is also on the rise and people are recognizing it as a potential cause of childlessness in couples. But not to worry, the condition is curable and preventable. Some alterations in your diet and lifestyle will mark the beginning of the end of infertility. So go through the points given below and figure out how to increase your fertility quotient.

        1. Antioxidant-Rich Diet

An antioxidant-rich diet is a winner all the way. But it has special implications for fertility problems. So, all you young boys desirous of a baby should include foods that rich in zinc, vitamin c, selenium, vitamin E and Folic acid. A diet rich in Lycopene will also help. These micro nutrients are readily available in oysters, fruits and green leafy vegetables, nuts, and tomatoes respectively. A diet rich in nuts, fruits, and vegetables usually fulfills one’s antioxidant requirements.

        2. Roll in The Bedsheets Often

Have frequent romantic rendezvous with your partner. Having frequent sex triggers better semen health. Abstinence might adversely influence the way your sperm swims.

        3. See The Soy Less Often

While soy is a protein-rich food, its excessive intake might hinder with your fertility. Soy is not only present in tofu but can also be in a hidden form in health drinks, energy bars, and fake meat products. It is best to limit your soy intake if you are overweight as the statistics show the sperm count of overweight men was highly influenced by soy products. Don’t banish it from your diet as it is good for your prostate and helps in fighting cancer in that area. Opt for a balanced intake.

        4. Effects of occupation

An occupation which entails the use of harmful chemicals or excessive heat can alter your fertility levels.

Research has shown that farmers, painters, and varnishers have a low fertility quotient. Their dilemma might be more than just a coincidence, it might be related to the use of harmful chemicals used in their occupation. Chemicals found in pesticides and varnishes might cause poor sperm health. While it might be difficult for men to change their occupation, they can try taking up options which minimize their exposure to heat or chemicals.

        5. Smoking Might Be The Culprit

All the social media, print media and healthcare sector are busily deterring the people from smoking. But there is one more reason you should stay away from the cancer stick. Your smoking might be keeping you away from becoming a father. Smoking has shown deterioration in the quality, motility, and count of sperm in a man’s semen. Even couples going for IVF are told to refrain from smoking during the period of treatment. Another good reason to quit is that your cigarette might be blowing up your partner’s fertility in smoke too. Secondary smokers are also bound to show a decrease in fertility.
